Hello, I hope that your day is going well. Small town politics, they can be interesting can't they. I've lived and worked in small towns most of my life so I think I understand a little about what you are referring too.

I think it means I understand them, sometimes more than they understand themselves. Sometimes both misunderstand each other, but someone has to be the bigger person, step out of them and step into the shoes of the other person. Someone has to try to understand.

That makes sense.

Do you feel that you understand them? Or do both sides not understand each other equally?

The comment that most resonates with me is that sometimes we feel lonelier in a crowd than when we are alone. I don't know many people who understand that.

When they cannot get close to the friend they want to be close to, or connect to, they get upset, they sometimes give up on the friend, they fight, etc.

You mentioned about being alone. Is that because you can't find someone to connect to?

I came to your profile after reading your comment on a forum thread about close friends. I agree with you on most of the points, and I like that you're not negative or bitter about losing a friend. It takes some wisdom to reach that stage. And when I read your profile, I feel that you have a very rich life experience.
