Sorry for not writing. My computer has been having a lot of problems lately.
I think our culture isn't as social as yours. Americans have a way of being friendly without really investing themselves in a relationship. It sounds like you walk through a town together to celebrate, but the closest thing to that in America is a parade. People that represent different businesses and organizations in the community decorate cars and trailors and drive them down the road while we watch them go by and wait for them to toss us candy. There are parades for the 4th of July (U.S. Independence Day), the 24th of July (a Utah holiday) , Peach Days (a local harvest fair), and a bunch of parades for schools.

Are you still enjoying your classes?

How are you doing? Things are going well here. It was a holiday weekend, so I haven't been on the computer. Yesterday was Memorial Day and we went to the cemetary to visit the graves of our ancestors and talk to our kids about the things our ancestors did and what they were like.

I understand completely about doing so many things for your children that you forget to do things that make you happy. I enjoy learning new things, as well, so I spend a lot of time researching on the computer. I can't afford to go back to college right now. I hope I'll have the chance someday.

In my free time I enjoy reading books and I really enjoy fixing things up around our home. I paint the walls and I like to sew new curtains for the windows. I also enjoy being outside and talking with my neighbors. We live in on a street that has a lot of kids, so we sit outside and watch our kids play together.

I enjoyed hearing about your traditions for a boy asking a girl to marry him. That's really cool. Around here, a boy just asks you to marry him. Only a really polite boy will ask the girl's father for permission to marry. It doesn't happen very often.

What kind of places do you go for vacation? Are you close to a beach or a lake?

Very true, being a mother is not very easy but it is wonderful. I'm glad to hear that your children are doing better. Sometimes homeopathic remedies work just as well (and sometimes better than) more invasive methods.

My oldest has a really great immune system and she's hardly ever sick, but my little boy has allergies. He has cold symptoms a lot of the time.

Tell me what it is like where you live. :)

How fun! I have a girl named Aubrey and a boy named Neal. Aubrey is 5 and Neal is 3. That's really cool that you have a daughter named Karla, because I have a sister named Karla! It's not a common name around here. You write better English than I do Spanish. I only know about as much Spanish as a two year old.
