Be aware of scams. Don't respond to anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Report anyone who posts inappropriate material to the site administrators. If the site is used properly, you can find long-lasting friendships and interesting pen pals. When people say who they are, make sure they are who they claim to be.

British people, Irish people, USA people, working overseas as Petroleum engineers, welding engineers in Marine, willing to send you gifts and money, writing an email with lots of English grammar and vocabulary errors, speaking over the phone with unusual accents, Nigerian or Malaysian accents most common, expressing desperate love over the internet, people who claim to be orphans with a huge Will from their parents and not having anyone to share with, widows of prince & Kings or etc, are ALL scammers.

Come on Ladies, if someone writes you and instantly loves you...he's a scammer. If he writes you and refers to you as he...he's a scammer. If he writes to you and says he's from the USA and is over seas working but can't write proper English, he's a scammer. There are tons of them taking parts of letters and putting them together to scam you. Open your eyes, the clues are there.

Worst than money, is to give them your trust and just in a short time to find out that they were scammers, will just hurt you for at least couple of weeks.
