Kyiv, November 11 - AIF Ukraine. Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past day in the zone of the antiterrorist operation and 10poluchili injured, said the speaker of information-analytical center Andrei Lysenko National Security Council at a briefing in Kiev, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
He added that the total number of deaths reached 1,052 people: "According to official data, the total number of Ukrainian military dead for the duration of ATO in mid-April of 1052".
He also noted that the 4079 participants of the antiterrorist operation for the entire period indicated, were injured, 400 missing, and 399 are held captive by the representatives of illegal armed groups.
Lysenko also said that in a clash with militants close to the village of Birch (Maryinsky district, Donetsk region.) Killed three Ukrainian military, three wounded.
"In Donetsk direction near the village of Birch terrorists with mortars and rocket-propelled grenades attacked the platoon strong point, repelled ... Unfortunately, as a result of this battle killed three Ukrainian soldiers and three others were injured," - he said.
According to Lysenko, as a result of the collision, the enemy lost 10 fighters, "after which the retreating column Ukrainian gunners opened fire, so the amount of losses the terrorists even more."
