At first, all the horror movies I have got in my profile :DD Besides, everybody should have seen Silent Hill
I watched Insidious a few days ago, because its a favorite movie of one of my classmates... most of the people say Insidious isn't good but I think its just group pressure :3 Its not my favorite movie either but I think you can watch it - it isnt too bad (besides in the dark I have the feeling the old "Lady" stands somewhere and watches xD)
Wolf Creek isn't a ful horror movie its half thriller but its very cool anyway
I'm not a big fan of splatter - so I cant recommend something in this genre :o
If you want some more suggestions than just ask :)
Well from J-Rock I like Granrodeo (they don't always play J-Rock they are playing J-Pop too) and Jupiter/Kamijo <3 Before Jupiter it was Versailles but... well unfortunately the parted q_q
But LM_C is a pretty cool band too :33

I can imagine you want to be a programmer later - its a cool job and it sounds cool too :D
If you like horror movies I can recommend some if you want xD
