The water.

I remember when I played a football in July, I didn’t take the water with me. I played for almost 3-4 hours. I was thirsty, but I wanted to continue to play. Although, other people there had water with them, but I was a little bit squeamish, and I refused to drink that water. So, after as everyone has gone home, I also packed my stuff. There was 10 PM, the sky was dark. I was really thirsty, I only wanted to taste water again. But then I saw how other people played with a volleyball ball on the other field. And I don’t know why, but I decided to play with them, maybe I wanted to play more, I don’t know. I joined their circle. And I played there for an hour. For this hour I only thought about water, there wasn’t other thought in my head in that time. In some moments I wanted to say “ok, guys, thanks, for the game, but I want to go home”, but I can’t, I just wanted to play more. And I knew that there was only exit of this situation – I go home, when everybody goes. So, when I heard when someone said – “ok, we will play for another 5 minutes, and then we quit the game.” I was very happy to hear that. And when I was at home, the first thing, which I wanted do, was to drink water. There was a bottle of water in a refrigerator, which I put in the morning. I poured some water on a cup, and I drank it in small sips (because water was cold). One sip, there is another sip. God, this water was a treasure for me in that moment. It was delicious, so tasty. In that moment, I thought about how people really don’t value water at all. And when I finished drink water, I was happy, I just wanted to lie on the bed, and just relax. It was just water, but it gave me a good feeling.

The infinity sky.

Yesterday, when I was on my way to the university, in one moment I looked up to the sky, and I've got the thought how big the sky is. In that moment the sky didn't have the borders. It was so deep. The feeling in that moment was so wonderful. I saw this sky many times before, it’s the same sky as other people can see in any time, but in that midday, this sky was something different for me.

Prince Andrei Bolkonsky was lying on the hill of Pratzen, on the spot where he had fallen with the flagstaff in his hands. He was losing blood, and kept moaning a soft, plaintive, childish moan, of which he himself knew nothing.
Towards evening he ceased moaning and became perfectly still. He did not know how long his unconsciousness lasted. Suddenly he felt again that he was alive and suffering from a burning, lacerating pain in his head.
“Where is it, that lofty sky that I knew not till now and saw to-day?” was his first thought. “And this agony I did not know either,” he thought. “Yes, I knew nothing, nothing till now. But where am I?”
He fell to listening, and caught the sound of approaching hoofs and voices speaking French. He opened his eyes. Above him was again the same lofty sky, with clouds higher than ever floating over it, and between them stretches of blue infinity.

Why “Ufa”?

I checked some information about my hometown. And I try my best to write it on English. And the first which I found, it’s that there is no a true version why this city have this name. Some researchers think it’s because of the name of the river where the people lived where now is a modern Ufa. And what does word “Ufa” mean? There are also some versions about that. One version: the word “Ufa” is a Hungarian word and it means “the houses of new woods”. The second version: the word “Ufa” is a Bashkir word and it means “black water”. The third version: there is a word on Bashkir language “Uba”, and on a Bashkir language it means “the mountain, the hill”, and it defiantly describes the landscape of Ufa. And it also sounds familiar “Uba”>”Ufa”. Some basic information about Ufa: Ufa became a city only in 1586. In 1922 Ufa became a capital city of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and every year in 12 June Ufa celebrates “the day of the city”. 12 June is also the day of Russia.
